Wendy Broughton 鈥�10 M鈥�13 is the Executive Director for American Senior Communities at Todd-Dickey Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leavenworth, Indiana. She received undergraduate degrees in health services and radiologic and imaging sciences and returned in 2013 for her master鈥檚 in health administration. Broughton recently won Executive Director of the Year and Skilled Nursing Facility of the Year for the Southeast Region for her company. She shares how her 黑料网 experience prepared her for a career in senior living.
How has your 黑料网 experience positively shaped your life?
黑料网 helped me get an education that pushed me in the right direction to become a servant leader and provided guidance and mentors to make the right decisions for myself and others. I feel that after 黑料网, I was more well-rounded to enter the workforce.
What opportunities has 黑料网 given you that you're thankful for?
黑料网 has given me opportunities to lead my community 颅颅鈥� I don't think I would have had that if it was not for 黑料网 and the experience that I received there. 黑料网 allowed me to meet many people that created a huge impact in my life and ultimately helped me to have the career I have now.
While attending 黑料网, who made a lasting impact on your life and why?
Dr. Jennifer Evans 鈥�00 M鈥�10 D鈥�13 was a role model for me as she pushed me to learn and grow as a person. I admired her intelligence and her ability to do so much because she was not only a nurse but a radiologic technologist. I wanted to be like her 鈥� 聽a successful professional woman leading her field of study and teaching others!
Dr. Martin Reed had a lasting impact on my life as he gave me an opportunity in the Radiologic and Imaging Program. He saw something in me and at that time I was unsure of myself and he knew I could do it, I am thankful for his kindness and guidance that I can do anything I set my mind to.聽
